Meet Music Star, D’banj Embarrassed By Bishop Oyedepo For Rocking Blings In Church

Bishop David Oyedepo, the man of God at Living Faith Church worldwide also known as Winners Chapel, wasn’t by all the blings and swags of Nigeria music star, Dapo Oyebanji popularly known as D’banj when they came in contact.

D’banj was recently contacted to perform at a Youth Programme in Covenant University where the Bishop was also a special guest of honour.

Nigerian Students Declare 3-Day Prayer For President Buhari (See Details)

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has declared three days of prayers for the quick recovery and early return to Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the students’ body, the three days fasting would commence on Wednesday February 8, 2017.

A statement personally signed by Comr. Chinonso Obasi, President, NANS, called on Nigerian students – both Christians and Muslim alike, nationwide to join the prayers.m

He said, “As leaders of tomorrow and champions of a better Nigeria, we should not be left out in the national call for prayers for the President, especially now that his presence is direly needed for the country to navigate its way out of economic recession and political despair.

“We therefore enjoin every student in Nigeria’s tertiary institution to join their hearts in prayer to God to heal our President, because we believe that the prayers of 40 million Nigerian students would bring quick recovery and rejuvenation of President Buhari.

“It is our belief also that the early return of Mr. President to the country after he must have well rested would increase the tempo of the anti-corruption battle which is the cornerstone of his mandate.

“As NANS has elected to take up the challenge of whistle blowing to assist in the fight against institutional and official corruption, our hearts go out to God in prayer for the captain of the anti-corruption armada, President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We expect that when the President returns, the battle against graft would get into full throttle and branch in academic institutions where the cancer has eaten deep, threatening the destiny of millions of Nigerian students.

“Christian and Muslim students are expected to round off the prayers during the Friday Jumat prayers and Sunday services nationwide.”

1. The Theme

Writing is a means of expressing yourself. For this reason your best lyrics will generally be about an idea or a topic that is close to you, something that you care about or affects you in some way. Write about your own experiences: an incident, an emotional moment, a fear, a dream or nightmare, a problem within your family, your neighborhood, your country. Write about current issues that you feel strongly about, you can make your song a protest, a tribute, a social commentary. Don’t just try to come up with something you think will be cool. If it has no relevancy to you, your lyrics will probably not be very convincing.

2. Stick to Theme

When you have decided what the theme of your lyrics will be, stick to it. If you lose focus your lyrics might end up drifting from one topic to another, losing power and meaning.

3. Write, Write, Write

Write as much as you can. Even when you are not inspired, or when you think you have nothing to say, write down some lyrics. This gets ideas flowing on a regular basis, and soon you might feel inspired more often than you used to. Writing something, however bad, is better than writing nothing. This is because even though your verses might be poor, you might find a couple of ideas or rhymes in it that suddenly trigger your imagination and inspire some great lyrics.
